AIMIE ATKINSON
Musical Theatre Actress, Singer-Songwriter
Olivier Nominated Actress & Winner of the BBC Radio 2 ‘Voice of Musical Theatre’ award.
Aimie is a British singer-songwriter recording artist; and a West End musical theatre leading lady.
In 2019, Aimie finished a two year contract after originating the role of Katherine Howard in the phenomenal hit ‘SIX THE MUSICAL’ (West End). From 2020 to 2023, she starred as Vivian Ward in ‘PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL’ (West End), having received incredible reviews:
‘…it’s Aimie Atkinson who is the undoubted star, vanquishing memories of Roberts – while stylishly carrying off a version of her cinematic wardrobe – as an utterly winning, heartfelt Vivian.’ – Evening Standard: here.
‘Aime Atkinson, in the Julia Roberts role of Vivian Ward, has a perfect combination of quirky vulnerability and the strength of a survivor.’ – Mark Shenton
‘…in Pretty Woman, she is able to display the breadth of her talent. She is both ingénue and warrior. Having proved her chops in eight shows a week at SIX, she has the experience and accomplishments to pull off a powerful and feisty leading lady role, but still has a fresh energy about her that taps into the naïve, childlike parts of Vivian. Atkinson is pure sunshine.’ – BroadwayWorld
‘Aimie Atkinson, who was also brilliant in West End musical Six, breathes new life into the role of Vivian Ward made famous by Julia Roberts.’ – The Sun
Most recently, in 2023, Aimie played the role of Rem in ‘DEATH NOTE: THE MUSICAL’ at the London Palladium as well as at the Lyric Theatre, in the first-ever English language performance of this critically-acclaimed piece of work.
